Other Things You Can Get Done at the Salon

I’ve been lucky to have a great salon near me who have provided some of the designs on this blog. But I’ve started to look into some of the other services they have on offer too:

Laser hair removal – I’m a big fan of this and it isn’t nearly as painful as I thought it was going to be. It basically offers a permanent reduction in hair removal, yes it can be a touch expensive but the long term results I’m really impressed with! Read more about the treatment here. You can also get home devices which sometimes work out cheaper.

Waxing – another form of hair removal and one I mostly use before special occasions like a holiday and weddings. Yes it’s pretty painful but I think waxing can reduce

Best Nails from Pinterest

I’m sure you all know pinterest, I actually spend hours every week on it looking through the pages. It’s becoming quite an addiction! But I do come across some amazing nail designs. Here are some of my favourites.

I’m absolutely in love with the marble design on this one! It looks perfect, I really need to learn how to replicate that effect. The matte colours are also a soft spot of mine.

These look hard to do but very worth the effort. I think the matte grey is used as a base and then the design is pained on top. Obviously really hard to do yourself. Look how close some of those lines are!

Wow the one second from left, looks like something out of a science fiction movie. I believe it’s painted onto the white

Wicked Nail Art

Hello!  Today I have a few of my Wicked Nail Art manis to show you, plus a few swatches from the Wicked Polish line by Rylee!  I’ve been posting just the nail art on Instagram, but I’m going to blog these in little groups to make it easier.  So today I have two to show you.

First up is the famous Pox, a white jelly based polish with neon pink and orange glitters.  My favorite pairing for this is Orly Decades of Dysfunction.  They are a match made in heaven, so that’s what I used for this swatch.  This is one coat of Pox over DOD with top coat.  This polish is a must have for your collection if you can be quick enough to get your hands on it!

The nail art I did with this polish was a neon gradient and some matching

Wicked Polish: Drunk in Public

Hey everyone!  Starting off with the first of  the Wicked Nail Art I have coming for this month!  I’m definitely posting on Instagram and I’m going to try my absolute best to blog these also! Let’s get to today’s polish.

First I have a simple swatch.  This is Wicked Polish, Drunk in Public.  This has a sheer white jelly base packed with tiny neon glitters in a rainbow of colors.  I love this polish so much!  This is one coat over a white base.

And for some nail art using the same polish, I chose chevron tips with some matching neon studs.  I just used tape to tape off my tips and painted them white.  Immediately I removed the tape and dabbed Drunk in Public over the white, added Essie Sugar Daddy and top coat

Hey, lovelies!  Well, it’s October.  As most of us know, that means Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  So in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, today I have a Limited Edition polish by Serum No. 5 to show you!

This is Pink Lantern, a gorgeous bright bubblegum pink creme.  This reminds me so much of Lime Crime Parfait Day, but with an added bonus… it glows!  I think this beauty is going right up there with my favorite polishes!!  It is the most gorgeous shade of pink!  Love!  The formula is perfect and the glow is super bright on this one!  Shown is three thin coats with top coat.

This polish can be purchased on the Serum No. 5 website now, but only for the month of October so get it while you can

Wicked Nail Art!

Curious??  Read on after the jump!
Hey guys!! So I have a TON of Wicked Polishes to swatch that my dear friend Rylee has given me over the months. I know you’ve all seen swatches, right? I hope so! Well, I decided to swatch mine a little differently. The whole “wicked” thing fits perfectly with the month of October so I decided to do a Wicked Nail Art “Challenge,” and I want all my fellow Wicked Polish lovers to join in the fun!

So I made a calendar of sorts with dates and each polish. I’m going to get as creative as possible with each polish instead of doing the normal “swatch.” So for example, October 1 is “Drunk in Public.” On October 1 or anytime up until the next date listed, post your Wicked Creation to your social media of choice and hashtag with #wickednailart. Fun, right? There’s no rules, no prize, no level of skill required! I just wanted to do something fun for this line I have to swatch and I wanted to let everyone else in on the fun!  I’ll be blogging my creations (hopefully LOL) for each prompted polish with a tutorial or some kind of explanation of how I did what I did. Are you ready? Yay! Below is the date list for what polishes I’ll be using on what date.  Feel free to share this on you social media pages, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook! Only have a few? Great! Just join the days you have! If you want to do all the days or if you don’t own any Wickeds, maybe the other days you can do “inspired” manis if you wanted to do every day. Just do a mani inspired by the name or colors! Just an idea 🙂 I’ll be back soon with my first Wicked mani! For updates on Wicked Polish release dates and launches follow the Facebook page and @wickedpolish on Instagram.  That is the first place any announcements regarding restocks will be!

Different Dimension: Fall 2013 Swatches & Review

Well, hello, my friends! It’s been awhile. I am having some camera issues. My camera just stopped turning on! I’m so sad! But I think I’ve figured something out. We’ll see how this works!  It feels good to be back 🙂

Today I have eight amazing polishes from the 2013 Different Dimension Fall Collection.  Lots of swatches!

This is Dueling Unicorns, a bright purple linear holo.  I can’t love this more.  It’s just magical.  First photo is indoors and the second is direct sunlight. Three coats, no top coat. Nessie’s Revenge is a bright, true green linear holo.  This was definitely the most holographic of the four in this collection and easily my favorite.
