Okay. So, wow. I've been on hiatus. Haha. Oh, Hello! Well, I got married on April 6th, and let's just say... it was a BUSY time! So worth all the planning! But I'm back, so let's see if I can get back in the game! I have to say I've missed it!
So today I have Lovely Lacquer's Spring 2013 collection.
"May Flowers" is a bright pink milky base polish with medium bright pink hex glitter, small yellow and green glitter, and micro bright pink glitter. This one probably has the most glitter so the formula is a teeny bit thicker than the rest, but definitely not hard to work with. It goes onto the nail easily. This is two thin coats.

Untried Indies - Days 5, 6, 7 & 8
Wow! Do I have some catching up to do! Time really gets away from me sometimes. I'm still on top of doing at least one untried indie per day, sometimes more! Yay! Let's see how long this lasts. Haha! I've been posting on Instagram but I want to also post these here so I can get into a little bit more detail.
So for Day 5, I have another KB Shimmer. I was so in love with Hex Appeal that I had to try my other KB Shimmer right away! This is called Watercolor. OMG! In the bottle this just looks "pretty" to me. Once I slapped this on my nails, it was love at first sight! OMG again! Haha! It has the most beautiful bright blue crelly base. So, so pretty! It's packed with two sizes of purple glitters, large blue hex, pink and magenta hex glitter, and finally some micro pink and silver holographic glitters. And in typical KB Shimmer fashion, the formula was perfection. No problems applying at all. This is two clean coats with topcoat. Heaven! KB Shimmer can be found at www.kbshimmer.com.

Untried Indies - Day 4
Okay. I'm a bit behind. Better late than never, right? I've been posting on Instagram so that's got to count for something!
So for Day 4 I used KB Shimmer's Hex Appeal. Again, in love with this polish! It's a royal blue jelly base with all kinds of glitter goodness!! The formula was great. I used two easy coats and it was an instant jelly sammie!! No problems maneuvering glitter or having to fish! I'm loving KB Shimmer!
This polish can be purchased from www.kbshimmer.com. Check it out!

Indie Untrieds - Day 3
Day 3. The hardest part about this challenge is picking which polish to use! Haha! They are all so pretty! Today I have a Lovely Lacquer polish by Lauren. This is from her Resolution Collection for the New Year and it's called Put the Cupcake Down. Love it!!! Haha!
This polish has a light purple milky base and it's packed with glitter. This could have definitely been a one coater but I wanted the glitter to look dimensional so I added another super thin coat. The consistency is thick on the brush because of all the glitter, but once you brush it onto the nail it goes on smooth and clean. I needed no clean up and the base slides the glitter around perfectly. Great formula to work with!
This can be purchased from shoplovelylacquer.com. Follow Lauren on Instagram @LovelyLacquer for store updates!

Indie Untrieds - Day 2
Day 2 of the untried indies is here and I have for you a Hare Polish. This is from the Finders Keepers Fall 2012 collection. I have the whole collection but I tried Golden Years first. It has a teal jelly base but it is PACKED with glitter so I used undies. American Apparel in Peacock worked perfectly. Then I just needed one coat (yes, ONE) of Golden Years!! So. Much. Glitter. It's gorgeous!
I bought these from llarowe.com but Nikole also has an Etsy shop.

Indie Untrieds - Day 1
So a few of my Instagram ladies and I decided to challenge ourselves this new year. Some of us (wink, wink) are collecting polish faster than we are swatching or wearing them, especially with the amazing Indies that are coming out! So we decided to do a 31-day challenge, using a different Indie polish that we haven't tried yet. Yes, and I do have enough. Ugh.
I think the way I'm going to approach this is by doing quick posts each day, rather than getting behind. So for Day 1, I have Lovely Lacquer's Kiss Me, Maybe? So pretty in the bottle but when I slapped this on my nails I was blown away! SO BEAUTIFUL!! It's a mint green crelly with small red hex glitter throughout. This photo is two coats and a top coat. Stunning!
This polish can be purchased (possibly for a limited time) from www.shoplovelylacquer.com.

A December to Remember...
Okay, so it's not December yet. Almost. I've been really slacking with the blog posts but I'm ready to get back on it! I have lots of lovely Christmasy polishes that I've been dying to use! I was so happy when Thanksgiving was over!! Haha!
So anyway, I have my manis all mapped out (yes, I'm psycho OCD obviously) for December and so the last few days of November can jump right in since I can't wait! I'll be doing mostly holiday-esque nails unless I get a wild hair for something different. (I can tell you now this has already happened. I'm wearing hot pink & purple now. Next post!)
For now I'll add my three from the last week.
The first is a purple theme because I just found the most amazing nail supply store and had to use some of the things I bought. The color is Sation Love at First Lavender and I'm obsessed!!! This is my first Sation polish and it's amazing! Gorgeous color. It could have been a one-coater but I'm a creature of habit and had to put two coats. Creamy and buttery and went on super smooth. Just love. For the accent nail, I used China Glaze Creative Fantasy with some loose glitter on top. The flowers on the middle finger are stickers!! Yes, I cheated! Haha! I found tons of stickers at the nail supply for lazy days. They matched so I stuck them right on. Love.
The next mani is more Christmas themed. I used China Glaze Running in Circles as the base. WOW!!! The most beautiful glittery, yet still opaque, polish I've ever seen. So so pretty!!! I added another Sation polish on top, this time a glitter called Ego-Friendly. It reminded me of Christmas trees. For the red glitter accents, I picked them out of Lion Tamer by Freak Show Polish. I stamped the stars onto the accent nails with Mash-49.
Last one. For now. Haha. Another Christmasy one! I was obsessed with this mani!!! The polishes were sooooo gorgeous and went perfectly together!! I used Models Own in Peacock Green with Sation Glitter in Band Beauty. Love, love, love! I chose to do a glitter gradient so the glitter wouldn't take away from the gorgeous Peacock color!!!! Came out exactly how I had pictured it!
So that's it for now. I post all of these on Instagram under @selenadee_nails. They pop up there first until I'm done playing catch-up! And sorry that the photos show up last, but I'm blogging from my iPad since that's my only Internet and it only lets me add photos to the end of my posts for some reason. Humph.
